Privacy Policy

1. What we collect
Your email address when you register; the contact phone/email and vehicle details you choose to include in listings; and your in-app messages (including machine-translated versions). We do not collect banking or identity documents.
2. How it is used
Contact details are shown to potential buyers according to your listing settings. Your email is used for login, password resets and new-message notifications. Message text is sent to a third-party translation service (Microsoft Azure) to provide automatic translation. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Storage and security
Data is hosted with Supabase (database, Singapore region) and Vercel (website). Row-level security is enabled; private messages are visible only to the two participants. We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use, modification, disclosure and loss.
4. Cross-border transfer
To provide our services, your personal information is transferred to and stored outside New Zealand, including: Supabase (Singapore) for the database and images, Vercel (United States and its global edge network) for the website, Microsoft Azure for automatic translation (data may be processed in the Asia-Pacific region), and Resend for email once configured. We take reasonable steps to ensure these providers protect your information to a standard comparable with the Privacy Act 2020. By continuing to use the Platform you consent to these cross-border transfers.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations. After you delete a listing or your account, the related data is deleted within a reasonable time (except copies required by law or held in routine backups).
6. Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may access and correct personal information we hold about you, and may request deletion of your account and data. Contact us via the site. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).
7. If you don't provide information
Registering and listing a car require basic information such as an email address. If you choose not to provide it, you may be unable to register, list cars, or use in-app messaging and translation — but you can still browse public listings.
8. Minors
The Platform is intended for adults. We do not target children and do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we hold a minor's information, please contact us to have it removed.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use only the local storage necessary to keep you signed in. No advertising or tracking cookies.
